Hello and welcome to the Wellness page on Natalie the Explorer blog!

My current wellness routine includes:

  • Greet every new day with gratitude.
  • Meditate 15 minutes daily.
  • Practice language lessons 15 minutes daily.
  • Cycle and walk outdoors 5-6x per week, unless the weather is severe.
  • Do strength workouts 3x per week, one hour per session.
  • Practice yoga 3x per week, one hour per session.
  • Keep my health check appointments.
  • Sleep 7-8 hours daily.

I havve been living a car-free lifestyle all my adult life. I enjoy cycling and walking. I use public transit when occasionally needed. Weather permitting, I go for seasonal activities such as disc golf, canoeing, kayaking, stand up paddling, swimming, and Nordic walking.

I started learning and practicing Ashtanga yoga in the mid-1990’s for close to ten years. I switched to Hatha yoga and have been enjoying it since. I make small and incremental changes to my strength training to keep my workouts fresh and fun to do.

I keep track of my wellness activities on a simple sheet. I’m committed to stay fit and try to be consistent with my wellness routine even when I travel.
